7 Murdered, 17 Wounded in Tel Aviv-Yafo Terrorist Attack

Seven people were murdered and 17 more were wounded Tuesday night in a terror attack in Yafo (Jaffa) just a few minutes before Iran unleashed a massive barrage of some 180 ballistic missiles aimed at targets across the Jewish State.

Two terrorists in their twenties armed with an automatic weapon and a knife, opened fire at civilians at point-blank range, first on a Light Rail train and then on Jerusalem Street, firing at passersby. They first stabbed a soldier on the train and stole his weapon, which they used in their murderous spree.

The two terrorists were identified as Muhammad Khalaf Sahar Rajab and Hassan Muhammad Hassan Tamimi, who were living illegally in Israel and were residents in the Palestinian Authority side of Hebron.

Police confirmed that a Tel Aviv-Yafo (Jaffa) municipality security officer along with armed civilians successfully neutralized both terrorists.

The attack took place in two locations — on the train near the Jerusalem Avenue Light Rail station and on Gaza Street — according to Magen David Adom Director-General Eli Bin.

In light of that attack and the Iranian ballistic missile attack that followed shortly after, the ERAN Association announced it is increasing the number of trauma aid centers.

ERAN provides a life-saving mental first aid service 24/7 anonymously and immediately for any mental distress. To receive mental health assistance call ERAN at 1201, text on WhatsApp at 052-845-1201, or visit the ARAN website by clicking here.
