The nights are drawing in and getting colder as autumn temperatures dip.

Many people are looking ahead for a sunshine break in the colder months, but where is still warm in November without going further afield? Of course you could travel to a multitude of overseas destinations such as Australia, California or the Caribbean. But there is one Spanish destination which is still a respectable 20C in November and it is just two and half hours from the UK. The city of Seville is an easy city location which is still bathed in sunshine with courtyards in the shade for those who want it.

It's packed with tapas bars and is able transport travellers to an instant summer and is a historic location packed with arts and culture. Conde Naste Traveller says: "For old-world kicks, explore the Alcázar, the opulent Mudéjar palace, or flag down a horse-drawn carriage outside the Gothic cathedral.

"But carve out time, too, for the city ’s flipside: to be uncovered at Un Gato en Bicicleta, an unapologetically cool bookshop/café/ceramics studio; or at Delimbo, a gallery that’s home to graffiti and graphic design. Come nightfall, the pavements are busy with people picking at small plates and sipping sherry outdoors. November? Could’ve fooled us." Visitors are recommended to stay at the Hotel Alfonso XIII which has been well-known for its grand stays in Seville since 1929. It is described as a "neo-Moorish mansion" which has been newly refurbished using modern design features and an Art Deco American Bar. Travellers on the hunt for something more contemporary should visit Plácido y Grata, which the travel bible says has a "pared-back, minimalist aesthetic." It also has a trendy café and relaxed drinks bar while its restaurant serves fresh, modern Spanish cuisine.

A TripAdvisor user, called 'Ectoplasm Fantasia', said: "Stunningly beautiful! My favourite part of Seville." Another, 'Wortleybay', exclaimed: "Wow, wow, wow! Stunning architecture and scrupulously well kept. Not to be missed." And 'Jeff R' shared: "This was an incredible place for us to visit. This is a must-see location for anyone visiting Seville." Beyond the plaza, the Real Alcazar de Sevilla and the city's Cathedral are unmissable, while Parque de Maria Luisa offers a perfect slice of serenity.
