Disgraced rapper P Diddy's has no access to any kind of 'special privileges' in prison and won't even get to watch TV, a former inmate has revealed.

The music star, whose real name is Sean Combs, was arrested last month in New York and was later charged with sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, transportation and engaging in prostitution. He denies all allegations and has pleaded not guilty but remains behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center.

However his money means nothing inside and the hip-hop mogul - known for his lavish lifestyle - is being treated just like anyone else, it is claimed. Married at First Sight star Timothy Smith previously served time in a US federal prison and he has given a glimpse at life behind bars.

He says Diddy's current jail conditions are certain to be "grim" and that his status offers no "special treatment" at all. He explained: "His money and wealth won't get him any benefits. In the federal system, it's so limited, you don't get extra privileges because you're rich. His wealth won't help him in here, nothing at all.

"You're allowed a few basics like a tracksuit and sneakers from the commissary, but that's about it," he told Daily Mail Australia. "They do raids and if you try to stockpile, they take everything. People think there are TVs and radios, but where he's at there's nothing, not even a radio. You get a Bible and one book per week."

The 54-year-old is facing potential lawsuits from up to 120 people attorney Tony Buzbee said are planning to sue Diddy over alleged exploitation and sexual abuse, according to the Mirror US. At the press conference on Tuesday, Diddy was accused by Buzbee of using horse tranquilizer to drug alleged victims. He denies all claims.

Buzbee claimed one alleged victim who was 15 years old at the time. The lawyer alleged she was "flown to New York City to attend a party" before being drugged and "taken to a private room allegedly in the presence of Mr Combs."

It comes as his mum released a bombshell statement following his arrest. Janice Smalls Combs released the statement in defence of her son as he faces allegations of sex trafficking and sexual abuse. She said that "as a mother" she is "saddened" by what her son has been accused of.

She then explained that she finds it "heartbreaking" what Combs is going through. Janice said: "I come to you today as a mother that is devastated and profoundly saddened by the allegations made against my son, Sean Combs.

"It is heartbreaking to see my son judged not for the truth, but for a narrative created out of lies. To bear witness to what seems to be like a public lynching of my son before he has had the opportunity to prove his innocence is a pain too unbearable to put into words. Like every human being, my son deserves to have this day in court, to finally share his side, and to prove his innocence."
