Disgraced rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs is swapping his usual five-star dining for prison meals.

Earlier this week, Combs was arrested in New York City on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. Despite his lawyers requesting a $50million bail during his second application on Wednesday, he was denied and labelled a flight risk by the prosecution.

Combs is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, which also once housed fellow disgraced rapper R. Kelly. This facility serves as the city's main federal detention centre and reportedly offers a varied dinner menu.

The rapper will receive three meals a day, with his first meal served after his arraignment. The New York Post reports that Combs' first dinner in jail was Swedish Meatballs. He also had the choice of a black bean burger but seemed to opt for the meatballs instead. Accompanying his main dish were egg noodles, green beans, a garden salad, and a 16 oz beverage.

However, despite being fed thrice daily, the conditions are far from luxurious. In a bail motion on Tuesday, the 54 year old's legal team argued: "Several courts in this District have recognized that the conditions at Metropolitan Detention Center are not fit for pre-trial detention."

The prison, notorious for its overflowing toilets, cockroach infestation, and freezing temperatures following a fire that cut off heat to certain sections, has previously housed gang members, mafia bosses, and was the infamous location where Jeffrey Epstein met his end.

The mogul has vehemently denied all accusations levelled against him. Marc Agnifilo, the legal representative for Sean Diddy Combs, expressed his disappointment to The Mirror US post-arrest, stating: "We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney's Office. Sean "Diddy" Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community."

Agnifilo further defended his client, saying, "He is an imperfect person, but he Is not a criminal," and added, "To his credit Mr. Combs has been nothing but cooperative with this investigation and he voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of these charges. Please reserve your judgment until you have all the facts. These are the acts of an innocent man with nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court."
