A Facebook page focused on the search for missing mum Victoria Taylor has issued an urgent warning to volunteers.

The 34-year-old woman vanished a week ago in Malton, North Yorkshire, where she shares a home with her fiancé Matthew and their two-year-old daughter. After leaving her home at around 9am, she was seen on CCTV buying a soft drink at the M&S based at the local BP garage on Welham Road.

In the footage, Victoria can be seen wearing blue jeans, a black Adidas original puffer jacket with white stripes down the sides, a grey Jack Wills hooded jumper, a camouflage cap and she was carrying a salmon/pink Vans backpack. Several of her belongings were found, including her cap, backpack, along with the drinks bottle she bought at the petrol station, by her friends and family by the River Derwent, with police now urgently scouring the water.

Her friends and family are continuing to hunt for Victoria and the search has now entered its eighth day. But volunteers who joined the search have now been urged to stay safe due to chilly weather conditions this week.

Charlotte Cundill, a pub barmaid, told supporters on the Facebook group "The search for Victoria Taylor" that even though a week has passed, Victoria's loved ones "won't be giving up" on her. After thanking all those helping with the search, Victoria's friend Charlotte warned everyone to be careful when out and about, as she wrote this morning: "The weather isn't looking to great for the week so please, stay safe yourselves and get wrapped up if out searching."

She also said that the Derwent Arms pub has been offering refreshments for people involved in the search - and urged to use the pub as "a safe space, quiet space, or a meeting point." Charlotte said she is also preparing printed posters which will be ready by dinner time this evening.

It comes after we reported that Victoria's fiancé is said to be "devastated" after being targeted by cruel trolls who have pointed the finger at him. Friends have revealed Matthew is "absolutely devastated" about the vile slurs and his partner's absence.

One said on a public Facebook group designed to help support the search: "It's sad to see people pointing the finger at her partner. It's cruel as he is going through enough already without people doing that." To which, another friend said: "It really is, he's absolutely devastated."

Matthew, who has been engaged to his partner since December 2021, had previously told reporters Vicky just wanted to give her daughter the childhood she never had. Vicky, affectionately known as Vixx, "didn't have the best of upbringings and she wanted to give this child a better one," Matthew had said.
