Katie Price health fears as cosmetic surgery 'could affect baby plans with JJ'

A fertility expert has claimed that Katie Price's cosmetic surgery could affect her plans to have children with JJ Slater after it was reported she had considered using a surrogate

Katie Price's plans to have more children could be 'complicated' because of her cosmetic surgery, according to a fertility expert.

It's been reported that the 46-year-old has considered using a surrogate to carry her next baby after reportedly travelling to Cyprus with boyfriend JJ Slater to discuss her options.

But an expert claimed that even this could have potential complications for Katie thanks to her multiple cosmetic surgeries.

Speaking to Closer magazine, fertility expert Patrick McClure said: "Considering the strain that the body goes through with IVF, being in a relatively healthy state can help ensure maximum chances of success while minimising complications. In the case of Katie Price, who has undergone several cosmetic surgeries in a very short time, this becomes complicated."

He claimed that Katie's chances of undergoing IVF and using a surrogate aren't completely impossible, and says that should the reality star manage to reconsider the amount of cosmetic surgeries she undergoes and allow her body to 'rest, recover and focus on the IVF journey' then she will have a better chance at becoming a mother again.

He added: "Katie has put her body under a lot of stress and trauma recently. I would recommend that she does not go through any other surgeries and lets her body come to a stable and healthier state before considering IVF."

Mr McClure, who is the CEO of WINIT Clinic said that the trauma caused to the body whilst having surgery and being under general anaesthetic can affect the ovarian stimulation phase of IVF.

Katie has five kids already - Harvey with ex-footballer Dwight Yorke, Junior and Princess with singer Peter Andre, and Jett and Bunny with third husband Kieran Hayler.

But the former Celebrity Big Brother star has remained outspoken about her desire to have more children as she recently told Olivia Attwood about her IVF journey with ex-boyfriend, Carl Woods: "You'll see a programme coming out. I can't even watch it. I've asked my sister to watch it back, on my IVF journey. It's failed and failed."

As the conversation continued she told Olivia's So Wrong It's Right podcast: "People have got to realise it doesn't matter if I act young or if I look younger, your body is still 46, and your eggs get less and they get older and it's harder."

Katie's and her latest boyfriend, the former Married At First Sight star JJ Slater, made their relationship official on Instagram in February this year when she wrote: "They say things happen for a reason, the unexpected happened. Fate. Ticks every box. @johnjoeslater you have proved to me you are a real gentleman and completely [accept] me for me."

It has been suggested that the pair could be planning to tie the knot as Katie continues to press ahead with her plans for another baby.

Earlier this year Katie claimed she was going to have another baby, but chose a sperm donor from America to be the dad rather than JJ.

Meanwhile, in an interview with the MailOnline, JJ professed his love for Katie and even said that she had caught his eye long before they first met: "Of course, she is obviously a very, very attractive lady and I do fancy her, she's my girlfriend now. But I have always thought she was fit."
