French bulldog stolen during burglary at home

A French bulldog was stolen during a house burglary, police have revealed.

Police chiefs in Stockport have now issued an appeal for the public's help, urging anyone with information to come forward. Anyone who knows where the miniature dog is is also being encouraged to contact police.

Limited details have been revealed by Greater Manchester Police, but the burglary happened at an address in Edgeley.

A photograph of the stolen dog has also been published by the force, together with details on how to contact police with information.

The French bulldog is pictured with its front paws on a bench looking up towards the camera. GMP confirmed the dog was 'taken' during the burglary on Berlin Road, with the appeal now being posted on social media channels and widely shared.

Writing on Facebook, GMP Stockport said: "Can you help us locate a stolen French Bulldog after it was taken during a burglary of an address on Berlin Road in Edgeley, Stockport?

"Any information? Call us on 101 quoting log 661 of 06/10/2024."

No further details about the dog or the break-in have been revealed. It hasn't been confirmed whether anything else was taken in the raid or whether the dog was chipped.
