Please follow this space and keep refreshing the page for all the latest updates on the Haryana Assembly results. October 8 is a big day for Haryana as the Congress and the BJP are engaged in a high-stakes contest for the Chief Minister's chair in the state. While the Congress is eyeing a comeback in the state, the BJP will look forward to replicating its victory for the third time.

Several exit polls on Saturday predicted a clear majority for the Congress in Haryana, with the BJP coming in second. 'Dainik Bhaskar' predicted that Congress would get 44-54 seats and the BJP 15-29 seats in the 90-member Haryana assembly. The Republic-Matrize poll put the Congress tally even higher at 55-62 seats as against the BJP's 18-24. The CVoter predicted 50-58 seats and BJP 20-28 seats.

The counting will start with postal ballots issued to specific groups like persons with disabilities, security personnel, and essential government staff, followed by the tabulation of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) votes.

Apart from Nayab Singh Saini, other top candidates in the fray are BJP's Anil Vij and OP Dhankar, Congress' Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Vinesh Phogat, INLD's Abhay Singh Chautala and the JJP's Dushyant Chautala. The BJP, Congress, INLD-BSP the JJP-Azad Samaj Party alliances, and the Aam Aadmi Party are the key parties contesting the polls.
 
A total of 1,031 candidates are vying for Haryana's 90 Assembly seats, representing a wide range of political goals. For these parties, this election is especially important because it will determine the direction of future electoral conflicts and have an impact on party tactics leading up to the general elections.

Haryana Assembly Results Live Updates: BJP Confident, Cong Hopeful As Counting Set To Begin At 8 AM

Political parties and leaders wait with bated breath for the Haryana Assembly poll results on Tuesday, with the ruling BJP confident of retaining power for a third term, and the Congress, which is out of power for 10 years, more than hopeful of making a comeback. Officials said all preparations, including security arrangements, have been completed for the counting process which begins at 8 am on October 8. A three-tier security arrangement has been made at counting venues, Haryana's Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Pankaj Agarwal told PTI on Monday.
