Police are appealing for dashcam footage after a pensioner was seriously injured in a crash on the M74 near Abington.

The crash, involving a white Volvo HGV with a trailer and a blue Kia Niro car, happened close to junction 13 at around 3.50pm on Friday, October 4.

A 67-year-old man, the driver of the car, was rushed to University Hospital Wishaw and treated for serious injuries. There were no other reported injuries.

Sergeant Gemma Blackadder said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash to come forward.

“We also ask any drivers in the area at the time with dash-cam footage to contact us."

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 2484 of 4 October, 2024.
