A teenager is in hospital after a stabbing outside the KFC restaurant in Bulwell. The incident, believed to have taken place in the car park of the restaurant off Hucknall Lane, was reported to police at around 2.55pm today (October 6).

A large police cordon is in place around the car park. No arrests have been made. The 17-year-old who was injured is being treated at Queen's Medical Centre. Police say his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Detective Inspector Kayne Rukas, who is leading the investigation, said: “As you would expect, we are treating this incident extremely seriously. There will be a large police presence in the area as we determine what has happened and seek to find those responsible.

“We are calling for anyone who saw what happened, has any dashcam footage of the incident or has any information to please come forward.”

One Bulwell resident, who didn't want to give his name, said: “It’s terrible, I feel like we can’t go one weekend without bad news nowadays. I’ve lived here for more than 20 years and I just feel as though things are getting worse, these things never used to happen and now we just see it as a normal thing. I’m just numb to it”
