Israel kills 21 Palestinians in attack on Gaza mosque; continues bombing Beirut - Greater Kashmir

Srinagar, Oct 6: Israeli forces have bombed a mosque in central Gaza, killing at least 21 Palestinian while wounding over dozens.

On its another front, Israel’s military has unleashed a new wave of attacks on the southern suburbs of Lebanon capital Beirut. The strikes have caused massive explosions with flames reaching up to the sky and the sound reverberating around the Lebanese capital, reported Al Jazeera.

   

Quoting a Lebanese security source, it reported that Hizbullah has lost contact with the chairman of its executive council, Hashem Safieddine. Hashem is touted as the group’s potential next leader, after Israel killed its chief Hassan Nasrallah.

Meanwhile, hundreds and thousands of people took to streets in cities across the world- from Paris to New York and Cape Town- calling for an ‘end to Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza,’ as the first anniversary of the aggression nears.

In Gaza, at least 41,825 people have been killed and 96,910 wounded in Israeli attacks since October 2023. In Israel, at least 1,139 people were killed in the Hamas-led attacks on October 7 and more than 200 people were taken captive.
