Complaints filed by women top priority, says Odisha CM Mohan Majhi

Bhubaneswar: ‘Complaints filed by women top priority,’ said Odisha CM Mohan Majhi while addressing the two-day District Collectors’ Conference in Bhubaneswar on Saturday.

Complaints of women should be taken seriously in the police station. The police should take complaints that are filed very seriously. Chief Minister Mohan Majhi gave this advice and instructions to the Odisha Police in the District Collector and SP conference. The Chief Minister said, the police are the hope of the common people.

Listen patiently to the complaints of people coming to the police station, he advised. Listen to them even if they come to the police station at 2 am. The Chief Minister has asked the DGP for district wise information on crimes against women.

The women and children desk in the police station has been ordered to be more functional. Bikes will be provided by the government to make the work simple and easy. Each police station has one bike for field duty.

As many as nine thousand bikes will be given to the police stations across Odisha. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi informed that 2298 home guards will be re-appointed soon.
