3 men open fire inside Noida mall parking lot after bar fight, arrested

Three men opened firing inside the parking area of the Gardens Galleria mall in Uttar Pradesh's Noida on Sunday night. The accused opened fire after a fight broke out between them and another group of people inside a bar. The accused were arrested and weapons were also recovered from their possession.

The accused are residents of Khurja in UP.

Several incidents of brawls and firing have been reported over the last few months since the bar is open till late at night. The accused got drunk and got into a fight with another group of people.

"In a mall which falls under the Sector 39 police station area, a dispute erupted between two groups over some issue. In the mall's parking lot, both the groups started fighting in which a youth fired shots. Police reached the spot and started the investigation and 3 youths have been arrested and weapons have been recovered," a top police official said.

Nobody was injured in the incident. A case has been registered against the accused and further investigation is underway.

A case of accidental firing was also reported from the mall in July in which two constables were involved. They were visiting the mall and the accidental firing took place while the two were leaving the parking space after one of the constables had loaded the weapon.

No injuries were reported in the incident, but a case was registered against them.
