The Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, took a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of focusing on his "Mann ki Baat" rather than addressing pressing issues.

Speaking at a rally in Srinagar, the Congress leader said, "Modi only talks about his 'Mann ki Baat,' but not about the 'kaam ki baat,' which should include providing jobs and controlling rising prices."

He further remarked on the changing political atmosphere, stating, "You must have heard about Modi’s '56-inch chest' before the Lok Sabha elections. But have you noticed him these days? The mood has shifted. The INDIA alliance and Congress have altered Modi's psychology," he added, addressing the crowd in Srinagar.

Ahead of the second phase of Jammu and Kashmir Assembly polls on September 25, Rahul Gandhi took aim at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, claiming that the Prime Minister’s demeanor has shifted due to the growing influence of the INDIA alliance and the Congress party. "These days, PM Modi’s face has changed, his mood has changed... and this is because of the INDIA alliance, Congress party, and the people of this country," Gandhi said.

He also accused PM Modi and the BJP of spreading division across the nation. "In the past 10 years, wherever PM Modi and the BJP go, they spread hatred. They make brothers fight each other, religions fight each other," he said.

Touching on the issue of rising unemployment, Gandhi criticised the government for failing to provide jobs for educated individuals. "Unemployment is rising across the country as educated people are not finding jobs; this is Narendra Modi's gift," he stated.

Rahul Gandhi also spoke about the downgrading of Jammu and Kashmir from a state to a union territory, calling it a violation of democratic rights. "The democratic rights of the people of J-K were snatched by downgrading the state to a union territory," he said, adding that the people of the region deserve the restoration of full statehood.

The first phase of the voting for Jammu and Kashmir Assembly election was on September 18, the second phase of voting will take place on September 25, and the third on October 1. The vote counting will be held on October 8.
