Video: Rifle in hand, Iran's Khamenei delivers rare sermon after attacking Israel

by · India Today

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei held a rifle by his side as he led Friday (October 4) prayers in Tehran for the first time in several years. The event was also the first time Khamenei appeared in public since Iran launched 180 ballistic missiles at Israel.

Khamenei on Friday declared that the Resistance - name for its regional proxies - wouldn't back down and Israel wouldn't win over Hezbollah and Hamas. As thousands gathered outside the Grand Mosque in capital Tehran, Khamenei said that the Islamic Republic's missile attack on Israel days ago were "legal and legitimate" and was the minimum punishment for Israel's "crimes".
