Two Indian schools, Ryan International School from New Delhi and CM RISE School Vinoba from Madhya Pradesh, have been announced as finalists for the prestigious World’s Best School Prizes 2024. The awards, founded by London-based T4 Education in collaboration with Accenture, American Express, and the Lemann Foundation, honour exceptional contributions to education worldwide. The winners will share a prize fund of USD 50,000.

Ryan International School, Vasant Kunj, is a top contender in the "Environmental Action" category for its innovative efforts to combat water scarcity and pollution through projects like hydroponics and biogas plants. The school’s environmental initiatives have gained national recognition, including from India’s Ministry of Environment.

CM RISE School Vinoba, Ratlam, has been named a finalist in the "Innovation" category. Originally established for tribal girls in an urban slum, the school has transformed public education by integrating local festivals and innovative sports programs, creating a meaningful impact on student learning.

Vikas Pota, Founder of T4 Education, emphasised the importance of grassroots efforts like these in addressing the global education crisis. The winners will be announced next month and recognised at the World Schools Summit in Dubai on November 23-24, where they will join global education leaders in discussions to transform education.
