Chief Minister Hemant Soren, along with Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge and other INDIA bloc partners, on Tuesday unveiled a joint manifesto for the Jharkhand Assembly elections, promising 10 lakh jobs for youth and health insurance coverage of up to Rs 15 lakh for the poor.

The newly presented manifesto, named 'Nyay Patra', promises seven guarantees for the people of Jharkhand.

"In elections, it is important to tell voters why they should vote in favour of a particular party. Keeping this in view, the leaders of the INDIA bloc are present here. We are presenting before you 7 guarantees regarding what we will carry forward in the government that comes after the elections," Hemant Soren said during an election rally in Ranchi, which was also attended by leaders of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the Communist Party of India (Marxist).

Meanwhile, the Congress president said that the INDIA bloc has fulfilled our guarantees in the past and will continue to do so in the future.

"Today the INDIA alliance has placed 7 guarantees before you, which are for the public. We have fulfilled our guarantees in the past and will continue to do so in the future. PM Modi came here yesterday, he mentioned me in his speech and said that there is no trust in the guarantee of Congress. But the public knows that Congress fulfills whatever guarantee it gives. There is no trust left in Modi's guarantee. He has never been able to fulfil his promise," Kharge said.
