According to the official notification, the preliminary exam will take place on June 8, 2025, at multiple centres across India. The exam will be conducted in two shifts: Paper I is set for 9:30 am to 11:30 am, and Paper II will follow from 2 pm to 5 pm.
Candidates can access the detailed schedule and guidelines on UPSC’s official website, upsc.gov.in. The application window closes on November 22, 2024, after which a correction window will be available from November 23 to 29, 2024, allowing applicants to make necessary modifications to their forms.
The preliminary exam consists of two papers: Paper I, covering General Studies and Engineering Aptitude, will be for 200 marks, while Paper II, a discipline-specific technical test, will carry 300 marks. Candidates who clear the prelims will qualify for the main exam, scheduled for August 10, 2025. This recruitment aims to fill a total of 457 engineering positions.
