Bengaluru man suffers burn injuries after toilet cleaner thrown on face

The incident took place when the victim was walking home from a bar. An unidentified man approached him from behind, threw the chemical and escaped from the scene.

A 31-year-old man was attacked with a bathroom cleaner containing acid while he was walking home from a bar in Bengaluru on September 22 in the afternoon.

The victim was talking on the phone when an unidentified person approached him from behind and threw the chemical on his face and escaped from the scene.

The victim's face started burning after the incident, following which he rushed home and informed his roommate. He was taken for treatment to a private hospital.

Images have surfaced, showing the bottle in which the accused had stored the chemical before throwing it on the victim's face. The incident left the victim with swollen lips and eyes while the left side of his face received burn injuries. He is currently undergoing treatment.

A case has been filed against the unidentified accused and further investigation is underway.
