Hand grenades, machine guns among cache of weapons recovered in Manipur
The Indian Army, Manipur Police, Assam Rifles and other security forces recovered a large cache of weapons and war-like stores in a three-day joint operation. The ammunition has been handed over to the Manipur Police.

A large cache of weapons and ammunition was seized during a joint operation conducted by the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, Manipur Police, and other security forces across multiple districts in Manipur from October 4 to 6.
A total of 18 weapons, including ammunition and war-like stores, were recovered in the districts of Churachandpur, Kakching, and Thoubal.
On October 4, Assam Rifles and Manipur Police launched an operation in Churachandpur, recovering a 9mm pistol, five single-barrel rifles, and five improvised heavy mortars. The next day, based on intelligence information, a joint operation in Kakching district led to the recovery of three carbine machine guns, a 9mm pistol, two single-barrel rifles, hand grenades, and war-like stores.
Another operation in Thoubal on the same day resulted in the seizure of a carbine machine gun, a 32mm pistol, grenades, and more ammunition.
On October 6, security forces recovered a sten machine carbine, a 9mm pistol, grenades, and other supplies in Kakching district, while Indian Army troops in Tengnoupal district seized a grenade and war-like stores.
All recovered items have been handed over to the Manipur Police.
