In a fresh charge against RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, the BJP accused the former Bihar deputy Chief Minister of making off with government property from his official bungalow in Patna.

Tejashwi Yadav, who vacated the residence two days ago, allegedly took away items such as air conditioners, a bed, taps and a wash basin, according to BJP spokesperson Danish Iqbal.

“Even the bed, AC, and basin were removed from 5 Deshratna Marg residence," Iqbal claimed.

He said the BJP will release further details of the alleged missing items soon. "We will soon put everything in front with the list of belongings given by the building construction department."

The bungalow has since been allotted to the sitting Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, and the BJP has vowed to expose what it describes as theft of public property.

In response, the RJD denied the allegations, with spokesperson Mrityunjay Tiwari accusing the BJP of engaging in “cheap politics” to defame Yadav.

“By doing low-level politics, it is accusing Tejashwi Yadav of taking away AC and bed,” Tiwari said. “BJP is suffering from Tejashwi Yadav’s phobia. If BJP wants AC and bed from Tejashwi Yadav, then it should say so... Tejashwi Yadav will get it delivered.”
