One Nation One Election proposal gets Union Cabinet's nod

The Union Cabinet on Wednesday cleared the proposal for One Nation One Election and the bill for holding simultaneous polls is likely to be tabled in the winter session of Parliament.

Meanwhile, briefing media on One Nation One Election proposal, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said it would be implemented in two phases and added that the proposal received support from a large number of parties.
