Woman, daughter found dead in UP's Hapur, police suspect robbery attempt

A woman and her daughter were found dead inside a house in Hapur district in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday. Police suspect they were killed during a robbery attempt at their house.
The victims were identified as Kausar Jahan, 60 and Khushboo, 25, from Khichara village in Hapur.
Police said that the villagers informed them about the incident, following which they rushed to the spot. They broke open the door of the house and found the bodies inside.
Hapur Additional Superintendent of Police, Vineet Bhatnagar, stated that both women were likely killed four to five days ago by strangulation.
The bodies have been sent for postmortem, and an investigation is underway.
Police also said that Kausar's husband had passed away, and Kausar and Khushboo were the only residents of the house.
