The minor boy involved in the fatal Pune Porsche crash that killed two techies is struggling to get admission to any college owing to the ongoing criminal case against him, his lawyer informed the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB).

The minor accused, who recently passed his 12th grade, had applied for a BBA course at a prestigious college in Delhi, but was denied entry following the incident, his lawyer added.

The 17-year-old boy was allegedly driving a Porsche car when it crashed into two motorbike-borne IT engineers, one of them a woman, in the upscale Kalyani Nagar locality in the wee hours of May 19, killing both of them.

While arguing before the Juvenile Justice Board, the minor accused's advocate urged the board members to ensure his studies were not affected due to the ongoing probe.

Meanwhile, Special Public Prosecutor Shishir Hiray, while arguing in the case, said that education was everyone's right guaranteed by the Constitution and he (minor accused) must get admission to the college of his preference.

In June, the police submitted their final report to the JJB detailing all evidence against the 17-year-old boy in the car crash case. The JJB is also hearing a plea, filed by Pune Police, seeking to try the minor as an adult in connection with the accident.
