A Pakistani national, living on the outskirts of Bengaluru, was arrested by the police in a late-night operation on Sunday. The Pakistani man's wife, a Bangladeshi national, and their two children, who had been residing in Jigani since 2018, were also arrested.

The suspects, living in the Jigani area, were taken into custody following an intelligence tip-off.

Authorities stated that the Pakistani national, whose identity has not been disclosed, fled his home country due to a religious dispute. He first sought refuge in neighbouring Bangladesh, where he eventually settled in Dhaka and married a local woman.

In 2014, the couple illegally entered India, arriving in Delhi with the help of a local contact who assisted them in securing false identification documents, including Aadhaar, a driving licence, and a passport.

After living in Delhi for some time, the family relocated to Bengaluru in 2018, where they have been staying ever since. The arrest was carried out based on confirmed intelligence provided by Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) officers.

A police case has been, and further investigations are underway. Authorities have not yet disclosed the specific charges or whether the arrests are connected to any larger security concerns.
