Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has launched a new Mtech programme in Environmental Health, Risk, and Safety Management, aimed at developing skilled professionals who can address key environmental and safety concerns in industrial settings.

The two-year course is divided into four semesters, with an annual tuition fee of Rs 45,275. Students interested in applying can do so via the official website (jmicoe.in), with the last date for applications being October 27.

IMPORTANT DETAILS

To be eligible, candidates must hold a degree in MSc Environmental Studies/Science, BTech, BE, or BPlanning in any branch, with at least 55% marks from a recognised university or institution. Admissions are based on an entrance exam scheduled for November 3.

This programme is designed to provide in-depth knowledge and practical skills for assessing and managing environmental pollution, health risks, and workplace safety issues. It emphasises leadership and equipping graduates to promote sustainable industrial practices.

In addition to addressing challenges like water scarcity, pollution, and occupational health, the course focusses on implementing environmental policies and advanced technologies.
