The Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE), a state-run organisation, has launched a groundbreaking initiative to support and guide over 8,00,000 students from public schools as they prepare for various undergraduate entrance exams.

KITE, the technology arm of Kerala's General Education Department, has introduced a program titled 'Key to Entrance.' The initiative was officially inaugurated by General Education Minister V. Sivankutty on Saturday.

The initiative aims to strengthen the state's dedication to expanding educational opportunities and offering support to students in the Science, Humanities, and Commerce streams, as stated in an official release on Sunday.

The dedicated portal, www.entrance.kite.kerala.gov.in, offers free login access to higher secondary and vocational higher secondary students from government and aided schools. Through this platform, students can access various learning materials, including question papers, assignments, and mock tests. These resources will be made available after the daily live classes, which will begin airing on the KITE VICTERS channel starting September 30.

The classes will also be broadcast simultaneously on two PM eVidya channels exclusively assigned to Kerala.

Students who miss the live sessions can watch them later on the KITE YouTube channel.

The programme will initially cover a comprehensive set of subjects, including Chemistry, Physics, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics, History, Political Science, Business Studies, English, and Geography, with plans to expand into additional subjects in the future, it said.

Each class will offer students the chance to self-assess their progress and pinpoint areas needing improvement, according to the statement. It further noted that ongoing evaluations will be conducted through online mock exams to support effective learning outcomes.

To ensure the seamless execution of the initiative, the Director of General Education (DGE) has directed all schools to provide the necessary technical resources for students. K Anvar Sadath, CEO of KITE, highlighted that this is the largest public entrance exam training program in Kerala, serving nearly 8 lakh students.

"We aim to replicate the success of last year's Crack the Entrance crash course, which saw excellent participation and impressive results for students preparing for Medical and Engineering entrance exams," K Anvar Sadath was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.
