Kimmel Dares Trump to Take a Cognitive Test Against Harris

· Rolling Stone

Over the weekend, Vice President Kamala Harris released her medical history, which reported she is in “excellent health” and has the physical and mental resiliency required to be president if elected in November.

However, Trump, who has ramped up his attacks on Harris as Election Day approaches, has yet to provide his own medical history to voters, despite telling CBS News he would “very gladly” release them to the public.

Jimmy Kimmel pointed out the discrepancy between the two candidates during his late night show on Monday, saying that along with not releasing his medical report, Trump has failed to release his tax returns and healthcare plan for America. Kimmel called out the former president for his obsession over Harris’ mental acuity and demands on social media that she “pass a test on cognitive stamina and agility.”

“The guy who’s up in the middle of the night reading tweets about himself, wants to give someone else a cognitive test,” quipped the late night host. “Pretty sure we all watched her ace that test when she handed you your tambourine ass in the debate, but … I’m all for it.”

Kimmel proposed that the presidential candidates both take cognitive tests on live television. “We’ll stack up 1000 tests,” the host detailed. “You can pull one out of the pile and you and Kamala take the same — that way there’s no chance of shenanigans.”

The comic continued to taunt Trump: “You’ve got a bigly brain. Your brain is the bigly-est. You’ve told us that so many times. If you’re too scared to debate again, I dare you to take a cognitive test against the vice president. Let’s see how you do. You can charge people for it, if you want. Make it a pay-per-view. I will pay you $49.99.”

Elsewhere in Monday monologue, Kimmel noted that ever since Harris “embarrassed” Trump in the presidential debate, the Republican candidate has “doubled down on insulting Kamala Harris’ intelligence.” and even referred to her as “retarded,” according to The New York Times.

“When they go low, they go real there,” said Kimmel, referring to the former president and his allies. “Trump’s like a mole person tunneling his way to China, and when he gets there, he’s going to visit the place where they print his ‘God Bless the USA’ Trump Bible.”

According to Harris’ medical report from Joshua R. Simmons, the physician to the vice president, the Democratic nominee has a medical history of seasonal allergies and a mild case of nearsightedness that requires her to wear contact lenses. The physician also noted her maternal family history of colon cancer and reported that the vice president is up to date on preventive care, such as colonoscopies and mammograms. In summary, Simmons concluded that Harris “possesses the physical and mental resilience required to successfully execute the duties of the presidency, to include those as Chief Executive, Head of State and Commander in Chief.”

Trump’s campaign, meanwhile, has given no indication that he intends to release his medical history prior to the election. That, of course, has not stopped the former president from boasting that he is “a really smart guy, you know, really smart” and calling himself “a very stable genius.”

These days, it seems as if Trump has spent his time backing out of a second debate with Harris and a 60 Minutes interview with CBS, while continuing to increase his violent, fascist rhetoric — spreading baseless lies about migrants and encouraging police to use violence on U.S. citizens — all the way to November.
