Pedestrian, 30s, dies in collision with car in Clare as Gardai appeal for witnesses

A man in his 30s has died following a collision between a car and a pedestrian in Clare on Thursday evening.

The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, was fatally injured as a result of the collision, which occurred in Kilkee at approximately 6.20pm on Thursday, November 8.

No other injuries were reported as a result of the collision. The road remained closed overnight on Thursday and a technical examination by Garda Investigators will be completed on Friday.

The local coroner has been notified and arrangements will be made for a post-mortem examination.

In a statement, An Garda Síochána appealed for any witnesses to this collision to come forward, particularly road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time.
