Jameela Jamil says liberals 'made 10,000 mistakes' in US election
by Kirsten Murray For Mailonline · Mail OnlineJameela Jamil has weighed on the political discourse surrounding Donald Trump's landslide winner after the republican was elected US president once again on Wednesday.
However instead of focusing her thoughts on Trump's victory, the actress and political activist shared her beliefs that it was the mistakes of the liberals which cost the election.
Posting a simple shocked emoji on her Instagram grid, Jameela headed to the comments as she launched into a passionate speech declaring the left 'drove their own support away'.
Responding to one comment which read: 'America really hates women,' Jameela wrote: 'yes, it does.... but also the liberals made 10,000 mistakes.'
Explaining the mistakes she began: 'RBG should have stepped down earlier. Biden should have stepped down earlier. The White House and the media shouldn't have covered up his obvious cognitive decline.
'The left/liberals have been an increasingly alienating, hypocritical, ostracizing and punitive party for 8 years. They drove their own support away.

'They didn't listen to their voters on the MidEast. The liberal media has been dishonest in ways that have cost them the trust of the public and then been found out.
'Democrats mandated C0v1d vaccines, dismantling "my body my choice" rhetoric. They spoke down to the very people they most needed to convert at every chance over the past 8 years.'
Speaking about Kamala Harris' campaign she continued: 'They chose a candidate to replace Biden who missed so many opportunities to address POLICY in far too many interviews and just focused on the fact she isn't him, they turned down both K and her VP going on Joe Rogan - arguably the most important platform on the planet to convert a demographic.'
'People with big platforms waited until the day of the election to endorse and encourage people to go out to the polling stations.'
'The liberals were so sure they could beat him. To the point many endorsed a third party candidate who didn't stand a chance against a man who had a 9 year rabid fan base.
'They ignored young men and boys and demonized them rather than calling them in, leaving them to be indoctrinated by the far right. The list goes on and on.'
Jameela insisted that the race and misogyny issues aren't the main reason Kamala lost the election as she suggested the real cause was a lack of policy.
She continued: 'Yes, America has a misogyny issue. Yes America has a race issue. But it will be disingenuous for any of us to boil it all down to that, and such binary thinking is what got us here in the first place.
'We elevated race and gender politics over policy, the working class, and displaying the full integrity we demanded from the opposition.
'My heart is broken. But I am also very angry, because we had the power and opportunity to avoid this outcome.'
Taking to her Instagram Story to share her lengthy comment she explained her choice to speak out and preached the importance of accountability.
She added: 'I say all this because IF we even get another chance now that we have ushered a potential autocrat into power.. we have a lot more housekeeping to do. There is agency in accountability.'
'Perhaps those politically left of center can see that self-cannibalizing, punitive, morally superior, condescending and hypocritical approaches, have not worked and we need to learn how to unite and organize.
'I have been calling for this for years, as I recognized the damaging way I used to speak politically/socially politically.
'I have changed. We can all change. We must change. Now.'
