Teenager rushed to hospital after being stabbed outside KFC

A teenager was rushed to hospital after being stabbed outside a KFC restaurant.

The incident, believed to have taken place in the car park of the restaurant in Bulwell, Nottinghamshire, was reported to police at around 2.55pm on Sunday, October 6.

The 17-year-old, whose injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, is being treated at Queen's Medical Centre.

No arrests have been made so far and a large police cordon remains in place at the scene.

The force are appealing for any witnesses to come forward with information.

Detective Inspector Kayne Rukas, who is leading the investigation, said: 'As you would expect, we are treating this incident extremely seriously.

'There will be a large police presence in the area as we determine what has happened and seek to find those responsible.

'We are calling for anyone who saw what happened, has any dashcam footage of the incident or has any information to please come forward.'

One Bulwell resident, who didn't want to give his name, said: 'It's terrible, I feel like we can't go one weekend without bad news nowadays.

'I've lived here for more than 20 years and I just feel as though things are getting worse, these things never used to happen and now we just see it as a normal thing. I'm just numb to it.'
