Lizzie Cundy has accused her former pal Meghan Markle of making her recent hospital charity gala appearance 'all about herself' in scathing remarks.

The pair were previously friends after they met at a charity gala back in 2013, however the Duchess Of Sussex, 43, went on to 'ghost' Lizzie, 56, after she met Prince Harry

And narrowly avoiding an awkward encounter last week they were both present at the LA Children's Hospital gala.

Speaking on GB News on Saturday Lizzie sarcastically said: 'I bet she was delighted to see me!'

She added of the night and what she thought of Meghan being there: 'It's the event to be seen at. I was hoping she would do something for the charity, maybe do a speech, but it appeared she was just there for the photo-op.

'She wasn't there for that long - there was a funny point where a lady asked for a selfie and her face looked like she'd swallowed a wasp.

'She needs LA but LA has had enough of her. She's cooked a goose there. She makes it all about herself.'

She added that the charity 'does great work' but thought that the Duchess 'made it all about Meghan'.

At the event the pair managed to avoid an awkward interaction as Lizzie was seated at the top table, while Meghan was surrounded by her high security team.

Lizzie looked sensational at the event as she showcased her ample cleavage in a low cut red dress.

Adorned with beaded detailing, the star put on a very leggy display in the dress which also featured a high leg slit.

Completing the look with a pair of red heels, Lizzie appeared to have a great night at the event as she shared a sweet selfie with Sugar Ray Leonard.

Others attending the event included presenters Kaley Cuoco, Jamie Lee Curtis and Colin Hanks, while Demi Lovato also performed during the evening.

The star has previously said she became friends with Meghan after the pair hit it off at a charity dinner together in 2013.

And during anoher appearance on GB News, she told Nana Akua the former Suits star was keen to join the E4 reality show's cast.

The ex WAG said: 'I was friends with Meghan for a while and I really got on with her. I was asked by a friend to look after her at a charity event and I thought, 'Who is this woman?' No one actually knew who she was.

Lizzie continued: 'She wanted a boyfriend and wanted to get on to the showbiz scene and wanted a job in British TV, and wanted to be Made in Chelsea, actually, the show.

'So I said, 'Look, if I can help you I will,' which I tried to do. I tried to hook her up with Ashley Cole, actually, the former Chelsea player, but she wasn't his type.

'I said I'd try and hook her up with a few guys, she wanted to stay in Britain. She wanted a British boyfriend. So she got that one in the end and won the lottery.'

Previously Lizzie has claimed that Meghan and Prince Harry named their daughter Lilibet as a tribute to her, and not the Queen.

Speaking to OK! magazine, Lizzie said: 'I was called Lilibet. It's short for Elizabeth. It was my nickname at school!

'Thank you Meghan. You ghosted me – and now you're calling your child after me. I appreciate it.

'My name was Lilibet at school. When I heard it on the radio, I kind of turned and said, 'That's my name! I haven't been called it for years.'

'I was quite shocked by it because it's an unusual name. Maybe that's her way of reaching out. But I wish them well and I think it's wonderful.'
