Prince Joachim of Denmark's ex-wife Countess Alexandra of Frederiksborg has found love again with Conservative Party politician Malcolm Offord.

The Countess and Offord, both 60, met at a charity event in London this summer, according to her representative.

Countess Alexandra was married to Prince Joachim - who is the younger brother of King Frederik - from 1995 and 2004 and the couple share two children, Count Nikolai and Count Felix.

Prince Joachim went on to wed his second wife Princess Marie in 2008, and they later welcomed Prince Henrik and Princess Athena.

The Hong Kong-born ex-royal, born Alexandra Manley, has experienced a tumultuous love life over the years - but has now found love once more with Lord Offord.

'I can confirm that Countess Alexandra is dating Malcolm Offord. They met at a charity event in London earlier this summer,' Alexandra's representative Helle von Wildenrath Løvgreen told Danish magazine Her&Nu.

'I have met him and I am very excited on their behalf,' she added.

In 2021, then Prime Minister Boris Johnson handed out a life peerage in the House of Lords and ministerial job to Offord, who had made large donations to the Conservative Party.

Speaking at the Scottish Affairs Committee at the time, he said it was a 'great honour' to have been chosen.

He added: 'I'm pleased to be selected, if not elected, because none of the Lords, as you know, are elected.'

Offord was then the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State in Scotland under Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak.

In April 2023, he was also appointed UK Minister For Exports in the Department of Business and Trade.

He studied law at Edinburgh University and previously enjoyed a 25-year career in private equity in the City of London.

Following her split from Prince Joachim, the Countess was married to Danish photographer Martin Jorgensen in 2007 until 2015.

She also dated Tony Lindkold, a former police officer and Danish secret service agent until 2019 but they split when she found out her boyfriend had been criminally convicted in 2015 for violating copyright.

Her new relationship with Offord comes a year after Alexandra broke up with businessman Nicolai Peitersen, who later admitted infidelity.

'I was unfaithful, which I deeply regret. I apologize unreservedly to Alexandra, whom I love and respect deeply, as well as to her two sons, whom I love incredibly,' he told Danish outlet SE and HØR in an email.

He added that he was 'terribly sorry' for the 'pain' he had caused Alexandra's children.

Despite being married twice with several difficult splits, the Countess has not been put her off in her quest for finding love.

In June, in an interview with Billed Bladet, Alexandra revealed that she would not rule out getting married for a third time.

She said: 'Over the years I have been there for many others and now have the opportunity to be more selfish and just date around a bit and enjoy getting to know others.'

She added: 'Getting married still means something to me. That would be nice, but it means less the older I get. So if my partner doesn't want to get married, that won't be the most important thing to me.'

In 2022, Alexandra said she was 'in shock' at Queen Margrethe II's decision to strip her sons of their royal titles.

Nikolai and Felix, along with their younger siblings Prince Henri and Princess Athena from their father’s second marriage, saw their titles of prince and princess removed from January 1, 2023.

‘We are all confused by the decision. We are saddened and in shock,’ Alexandra said in a statement at the time from her press advisor Helle von Wildenrath Løvgreen, reported Danish magazine Se og Hør.

Alexandra said the news came like a 'bolt out of the blue' and her sons now feel 'ostracised' from their family'. Her spokesperson also claimed Joachim learned the news through a royal aide, rather than from his mother directly.

In a statement to Danish magazine Se og Hør she added: 'This comes like a bolt from the blue. The children feel ostracized. They cannot understand why their identity is being taken away from them.'

Her spokesperson Helle von Wildenrath Løvgreen told another news organisation that Joachim learned of his children's fate via an aide.

Queen Margrethe spoke neither to her sons nor her grandchildren, it was claimed.

'The children have received the message that they are losing their titles, delivered by their father, just as Countess Alexandra was told by Prince Joachim,' the spokesperson added.

Despite her split from Prince Joachim, Alexandra is still a regular at royal events and put on a united display with her ex-husband at Count Felix's 18th birthday party in 2020.
