Everyone says the same thing about footage of Trump watching Kamala
by Ross Ibbetson For Dailymail.com · Mail OnlineDonald Trump appears to have made a campaign adjustment by swapping out his usual Diet Coke for full-fat, red-label Coca Cola.
The 45th president sent social media into overdrive on Tuesday night as the clip from Tucker Carlson's new docuseries Art of the Surge aired on X.
A still from the documentary showing him holding a bottle of Coke quickly went viral as one MAGA supporter tweeted: 'Trump has switched to regular coke. Full activation is imminent. This is not a drill.'
Others joked that he must have made the switch because 'RFK Jr is in his ear about fake sugar.'
The clip showed Trump calling Kamala Harris 'crazy' as he sat with his senior staff in a Las Vegas hotel room watching the vice president's address to the Democratic National Convention on August 22.
Trump savages Harris as she is heard repeatedly saying 'thank you' on the television.
'Is she crazy,' Trump asks, gesturing at the screen while holding his bottle of Coke.
'Wow, too many "thank yous". It must be 35.'
Sitting beside him is campaign aide Natalie Harp, known as the 'human printer,' who types up Trump's thoughts to be posted live on his social media platform Truth Social.
Trump dictates to her while she writes and occasionally glances over her shoulder at the screen to nod his approval: 'Good.'
Also in the room are top members of the Trump campaign team Tulsi Gabbard, Matt Gaetz, Dan Scavino and Stephen Miller.
The staff are heard discussing points that Harris is making during her address and how to rebut them in real-time on social media.
Harp types furiously as Trump bombards her with his running commentary.
After Harris' speech concludes, the ex-president and his team plan to call Fox News to give his immediate reaction.
'I want to use a hard line,' Trump tells his staff. 'Hard line is so much better.'
The ex-president then goes on air with Martha MacCallum and Bret Baier, holding a sheaf of notes in his hand as he rattles through his points against Harris - hitting her on the border, the economy and her coup against Joe Biden.
After he signs off the phone call, his campaign staff give him a round of applause.
'I think I just nullified the whole f***ing speech,' Trump tells them as they laugh in approval.
The fascinating glimpse behind the scenes is part of a new series produced by Carlson's network that even features the assassination attempt at Butler, with the filmmakers on the scene as the terrifying carnage unfolded.
It comes as the Republican candidate is leading in every swing state, according to the averages taken by Real Clear Politics.
Meanwhile the betting odds imply a 64 percent probability that he wins on November 5, putting his chances on par with those seen in the aftermath of the first assassination attempt.
