Outsourced employees in govt, semi-govt offices demand minimum salary of Rs 21K

Even in this era of high inflation, we get Rs 2000 per month. That too is given after three to four months. In such a situation, how will we run the house? The government should increase the salary.'

This was stated by outsourced employees who gathered from different parts of the state to protest on Sunday at Neelam Park . This group includes outsourced employees working in various government departments, semi-government institutions.

Congress leader and former minister Sajjan Singh Verma, PC Sharma, Congress Scheduled Caste Cell State President Pradeep Ahirwar participated in the protest.

Sanyukt Karamchari Morcha President Vasudev Sharma said  that the government has ended the recruitment of class III & IV employees in the last 15-20 years, and 80 percent of the government sector has been privatized. It has been given on contract to private companies. Employees like computer operators, security guards do not even get a minimum salary. There is no security in the job.

Sharma said that we have come to tell the government that all these employees from peon, gardener, servant, clerk, driver should get the minimum salary of the collector rate and the minimum salary should be Rs 21000. All of them have been working for 15-20 years. All these employees should be given security in the job. Their future can be improved by creating a small cadre. There will be no financial burden on the government in this. Most of our matters are related to the Labor Minister. We are also going to meet him.

Sajjan Singh Verma of Congress said that outsourced and temporary employees are that class for which there is no department in MP. Actually, departments are transformed by their hands, but unfortunately, ever since the BJP government has come to power in MP, the recruitment of Class IV employees has been banned. There is no ban on the recruitment of IAS, IPS officers, that too because these Scheduled Caste, Tribe and Backward Class people come in Class IV. They should remain begging in front of the government, so the agenda of BJP and RSS is that Class IV employees should not be employed.

Congress is preparing to raise this prominently in the assembly. Injustice is being done to lakhs of employees. The High Court has given a stay. I appeal to the court on what basis did you give a stay? These poor people raise their families with great difficulty. The date is being extended for four months. The government is not going to present their right side in the High Court. We will force the government to submit its answer.

At around 2 pm, police officers left with the delegation of employees in two police vehicles to discuss with Labor Minister Prahlad Singh Patel. Employee leaders said that the matter of the employees who are agitating is related to the Labor Ministry. The Labor Minister will have to take a decision on these first.

Employees of these government and semi-government institutions protested for the demand of "job security and minimum salary of Rs 21000".

Vasudev Sharma of outsourced, temporary, part-time, Gram Panchayat Employees United Front gave the information. Due to 80% privatization of departments, the future of employees is in danger. Vasudev Sharma, the state president of Outsourced, Temporary, Part-time, Gram Panchayat Employees United Front, who is leading the movement, says that contractors are ruling the government departments in Madhya Pradesh. 80 percent of all departments have been privatized.

In such a situation, there is no security left in the job of the employees working in government departments, nor do they get the minimum salary fixed by the government. These employees are victims of injustice.

Under this, the Kamgar Kranti movement is being carried out.
