C-Edge College observes Mental Health Day

Dimapur, October 10: The Department of Psychology, C-Edge College in commemorating the Mental Health Day organised an exhibition on October 9 with the aimed to provide valuable psychoeducational resources to both students and faculty, emphasising on this year’s theme of “Mental Health at Work” and the importance of mental well-being.

The exhibition showcased the importance of healthy mind and highlighted common workplace-related mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and obsessive-compulsive disorders.

Students from the Department of Psychology set up various informative stalls that focused on psychoeducation related to these illnesses. Attendees that included faculty, staff and students from the other departments had the opportunity to engage in psychometric tests designed to foster self-awareness and understanding of their mental health.

In addition to educational resources, the exhibition featured a variety of interactive activities. Attendees participated in art therapy sessions, created mood boards, and engaged in feelings checks, all aimed at promoting mindfulness and stress management.

The goal of this exhibition was to create an open dialogue about mental health and to equip individuals with tools to better understand and manage their mental well-being.

The exhibition had positive responses, as participants praised the engaging activities and the insightful contributions from the psychology students.
