A Status Orange rain warning has been issued for counties Cork and Waterford, with Met Éireann warning that heavy rain will lead to dangerous driving conditions.

Met Éireann has issued a Status Orange rain warning for counties Carlow, Kilkenny and Wexford for tomorrow.

The warning is in place from 12 noon on Sunday until midnight, and was issued earlier today, upgrading from a previous status yellow warning which is still in place for a number of counties

It looks like Sunday is going to be absolutely abysmal as heavy rain spreads across the country, with both Status Orange and Status Yellow warnings being issued

Met Eireann has issued a 12-hour Status Orange rain warning, with heavy rain, flooding and dangerous winds expected from an approaching Atlantic storm. A separate Status Yellow warning is also in place, with widespread rain, strong winds and difficult travel conditions anticipated across Ireland on Sunday.
