A stash of guns and seven ounces of cocaine were among the items seized last weekend after Kamloops Mounties pulled over a pickup truck on the Tk’emlups reserve.

According to police, frontline officers pulled over a white Dodge Ram at about 11 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, after it was observed leaving the area of a collision.

“As part of the investigation, the officer located what appeared to be firearms, including modified long guns and handguns, along with more than seven ounces of suspected cocaine,” RCMP Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said in a news release.

“The items were seized as part of the ongoing investigation.”

Evelyn said “more than a half-dozen” guns were seized.
