Northeast Frontier Railway apprentice recruitment 2024: The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has opened applications for a massive recruitment drive, offering 5,647 Apprentice positions across various workshops and divisions.

NORTHEAST FRONTIER RAILWAY APPRENTICE VACANCIES
NFR is filling vacancies across multiple locations, including:
- Katihar (KIR) & Tindharia (TDH) Workshop: 812 posts
- Alipurduar (APDJ): 413 posts
- Rangiya (RNY): 435 posts
- Lumding (LMG): 950 posts
- Tinsukia (TSK): 580 posts
- New Bongaigaon Workshop (NBQS) & Engineering Workshop (EWS/BNGN): 982 posts
- Dibrugarh Workshop (DBWS): 814 posts
- NFR Headquarters (HQ) at Maligaon: 661 posts
These posts provide a range of opportunities for aspiring apprentices in various technical trades.
NFR APPRENTICE RECRUITMENT: ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible, applicants must be between 15 and 24 years old as of the application’s closing date.
Candidates must have completed their Matriculation with at least 50% aggregate marks and hold an ITI certification in the relevant trade.
NFR APPRENTICE RECRUITMENT: SELECTION PROCESS
The selection process is merit-based and considers the unit, trade, and community categories.
Each unit will create a merit list based on candidates’ scores in Matriculation and ITI.
The final selection is calculated as an average of both scores.
NFR APPRENTICE RECRUITMENT: APPLICATION FEE
The application fee is Rs 100, though candidates from SC, ST, PwBD, EBC categories, and women are exempt. Candidates can modify their application post-submission for a fee of Rs 50 per change, but no edits are allowed to registration details.
