Mubi Fest Istanbul was due to open with Luca Guadagnino's 'Queer' but the film was deemed a threat to public peace

The Kadıköy District Governorate of Istanbul banned Luca Guadagnino’s ‘Queer’ from being played as the opening film of Mubi’s film festival. In response, Mubi canceled the entire fest.
