EastEnders confirms the contents of Debbie's will - and talk about unexpected

by · Metro

The following article contains spoilers from an episode of EastEnders that hasn’t aired on BBC One yet, but is available to view on BBC iPlayer.

Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) was left completely stunned once again in EastEnders as she overheard a conversation about Debbie Colwell’s will.

During her return to Albert Square last week, Bianca made it abundantly clear to her friends that she was back to get Reiss (Jonny Freeman) to confess to Debbie’s murder and free sister Sonia (Natalie Cassidy).

Her attempt has been frustrating to say the least. Reiss is surrounded by people who not only believe Sonia is innocent, but believe he is as well. As a result, it’s left Bianca feeling as though she’s on her own in the fight for her sibling.

In tonight’s episode, after attending Sonia’s plea hearing and learning she may not get a trial until next year, Bianca spotted Reiss looking concerned while reading a letter. Instead of shouting the odds and accusing Reiss of being a murderer again, Bianca took a different approach and acted concerned.

Reiss revealed it was a speeding ticket, but Bianca didn’t believe him.

Back at home, just as Bianca told Reiss that she would leave him alone now, there was a knock at the door.

In the time it took Reiss to answer the door, Bianca got a sneak peak of the letter he was hiding. The contents actually confirmed Debbie’s life insurance would not pay out – another development that fuelled Bianca’s theory about Reiss.

Entering the house at this point were Debbie’s parents and a solicitor. They had arrived to read the contents of Debbie’s will, which meant Bianca had to leave.

While she listened in through the door, Reiss and Debbie’s parents learnt where the unwell woman wanted her assets to go. As the solicitor read out the contents, Reiss began to wonder if Debbie had left him anything at all.

Right at the end, the will confirmed a ‘dusty’ dolls house would go to Reiss. This left him shocked, and even more so when the solicitor confirmed Debbie had actually changed her will a week before the stroke happened.

Bianca’s facial expression at this moment said it all. What happened in Debbie and Reiss’ relationship to prompt her to make this decision?

And how will this help Sonia’s case?
