I took pink cocaine and know what Liam Payne may have heard before death

Liam Payne could have been hearing voices from the drugs he had taken, according to a former basketball player. Discussing pink cocaine, Lamar Odom says ITV The X Factor star Liam, 31, could have been hearing voices from the drugs he had taken.

Lamar has said that the drugs may have made Liam hallucinate which may have led to his death. Lamar said that when he used drugs himself he would hear voices. He told TMZ: "Drug can cause you to hallucinate and if he was in a hallucination state then who knows what happened."

Lamar is a recovering addict who owns Odom Recovery Group. Also known as tuci or tusi, pink cocaine is a mixture of different drugs. According to High Alert, New Zealand’s drug early warning system, pink cocaine was first reported in South America in 2018 but has spread around the world since then.

Overseas, pink cocaine is usually a concoction of ketamine, MDMA and caffeine, says NZ Drug Foundation Executive Director Sarah Helm. “Because pink cocaine/tusi is usually a mix of depressant, psychedelic and stimulant drugs, it can lead to dangerous or unexpected effects and can be very hard to dose,” Helm said.

“Pink cocaine/tusi has only rarely been seen in Aotearoa so far, although we often do see mixes of psychoactive substances sold as other drugs,” Helm said. “[But] no matter what people are taking, we really recommend people get their drugs checked as it’s the only way to know what you’re taking.”

Liam's friend told Mail Online that Liam had previously been in rehab in both the UK and California. "He went to Argentina to renew his USA visa where he had to undergo medical examination because of his history with alcohol and drugs," the source said.

"The results of the tests were good. Liam was 100 per cent sober. But when he checked in at the hotel, at some point someone there started giving him drugs."
