Married At First Sight bride Amy issues scathing 2am rant as she slams show's 'unfair' edit
by Katy Hallam, https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/authors/katy-hallam/, Lillie Rohan · Birmingham LiveA Married At First Sight UK bride has spoken out to clarify what she feels was an "unfair" portrayal of her on the show, which made her appear as if she was "overreacting". Amy Kenyon and her partner Luke Debono, who joined the reality series as latecomers, have had their fair share of ups and downs.
While they initially presented a seemingly perfect union, cracks have started to show in the last relationship. In the latest episode aired on Wednesday, viewers were taken aback when Amy abruptly left during a cooking class date following what appeared to be a juvenile remark from Luke.
However, Amy has since addressed the incident on Instagram, stating that the editing did not accurately reflect the reality of the situation. Amy explained to her followers that her departure was due to a topic being mentioned that they were not permitted to discuss on camera, leading to it being unaired.

She shared her frustration at being "sick to death of being silenced" and felt the need to "remove" herself from the scenario. Amy wrote: "The scene has been portrayed in a way that did not happen due to the narrative being warped by this same topic which was constantly being brought up.
"Due to this being brought up, I had to again humiliate myself apologising for "overreacting" to make the scene make sense." The wedding planner went on to share her perspective, telling followers that she "shouldn't have to feel the need to defend myself" as those present on set were aware of the actual events.
However, she expressed her frustration with "bored of nasty people" commenting on her actions on MAFS. She added: "I do admit it's out of character for me however, I will never apologise for my behaviour as it takes a lot to push me over the edge. Remember for every reaction, there was an action."
This follows reports that the star posted a now-removed explicit rant on her Instagram story, where she claimed the show's editing of the date is "f****** unfair" and that they portrayed her as "a moaning awkward b**** again".
The Sun reported Amy wrote in the brief story: "This is so honestly f****** unfair. That was such a funny moment we had so much fun and I'm being made to look like a moaning awkward b***h again. That scene was literally four hours."
She reportedly added: "I'm so f****** done with this *******". Adding: "This is my f****** life and I am not a bad person."
