Strictly Come Dancing's Pete Wicks complained to Craig Revel Horwood in car park after show

by · Birmingham Live

Pete Wicks was left-red faced as he “confronted” Craig Revel Horwood after a stunt on Strictly Come Dancing.

Former The Only Way is Essex (TOWIE) star Pete unveiled a temporary tattoo of the judge on last Saturday night’s show. The non-permanent ink showed Craig, 59, holding up a paddle with a 10 on.

The judge has become notoriously hard to impress on the hit show, managing to go almost an entire series without holding up his top board in 2015. He says he likes to “err on the side of caution” and reserves the score for an “absolutely perfect” dance with “no faults”.

In a hunt for that elusive 10, Pete and partner Jowita Przystał went the extra mile at the weekend. But it appeared to have backfired for Pete, 36, as he was unable to get Craig’s face off his torso.

Writing in Best magazine, Craig said: “Pete’s stick on tattoo with a picture of me giving a 10 was inspired. Although the score was certainly wishful thinking on his part.

“The funny thing was, I bumped into him in the car park after the show and he was complaining he couldn’t remove my face - I’m sure it will come off in the show eventually. He is a good stick - really charming, funny, and down to earth.”

Pete’s tattoo was shared by the official Strictly account on Instagram. It was captioned: “Technically this is the first 10 of #Strictly 2024".

Fans went wild for the move, with one praising Pete and fellow contestant, comedian Chris McCauseland. They wrote: “Pete and Chris [McCausland] ARE Strictly 2024!!! and this tattoo was so funny."

Pete and Jowita have won fans over this series, with rumours of a potential romance between the duo. And while the 30-year-old professional dancer says they have “very good chemistry together,” she described the pair as “very good friends”.

Speaking to OK! magazine at the Pride of Britain Awards, Jowita said: “We have very good chemistry together as friends, we really get on well with each other, and we have so much fun together. And dancing is a bit like acting, so we're telling a story every night on Saturday night, and I think we're doing a pretty good job with that.”

She added: “But we're very good friends, and I love him so much as a brother, and I think we're going to stay friends for life, to be honest."
