BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Wynne Evans has "set the record straight" after fans accused him of Katya Jones of having a FRESH fallout - a week on from the so-called "grope"-gate scandal. The GoCompare star spoke out on Monday night (October 21) on It Takes Two.

Appearing on the Strictly Come Dancing spin-off, Wynne and Katya Jones addressed the Welsh crooner going missing during Saturday night's show when Claudia Winkleman interviewed them after their routine to Electric Light Orchestra.

Evans has revealed the real reason he rushed off the BBC set as rumours started to circulate claiming it was linked to his recent 'groping' scandal He said: "There were some people saying like, Wynne has disappeared from the Clauditorium. And like there's all these conspiracy theories. The reality was, I had to go and get my trousers redone.

"Because they were sticking to the sticky tape on the side." He added: "So I was being sewn into my costume downstairs." During their chat, the duo revealed they'll be doing a Salsa to Jamiroquai's song Canned Heat for Halloween week.

They teased there'll be a few lifts in store during their routine. Although Wynne and Katya progressed to Halloween week, last weekend saw Paul Merson leave the competition after finding himself in the dance-off with JB Gill, the JLS star.

Responding to the routine, one viewer typed: "In my opinion it does look like a misjudged attempt to 'break' Katya in front of the cameras and make her laugh, that's if it is a joke. You normally see Wynne in the background trying to have a laugh with all the other male contestants, see the jokes with Paul Merson.

"Maybe Katya's rejected high five is her attempt to break him. The unfortunate thing is that their explanations of the events have left it wide open for people to interpret it anyway they want."
