Liam Payne's body to return to the UK after being released to family

He was staying at the CasaSur Palermo hotel when he fell from the balcony of his third floor room. Preliminary results of an autopsy indicated he suffered 'multiple traumas' due to the tragic incident on October 16.
His body had been held in Argentina since then while authorities carried out further tests. Payne's father Geoff flew out to the Argentine capital in the wake of his son's death.

Public prosecutor Andrés Madrea told the BBC that the late singer's body was released to his family on Wednesday, October 6. It means it can now be flown back to the UK.
The Public Prosecutor's Office in Argentina said it is continuing to investigate the circumstances around the dad-of-one's death. Former ITV The X Factor star Payne had been staying in the area with girlfriend Kate Cassidy in the weeks before he died.
The influencer previously told how she then returned to her Florida home alone, with Payne remaining in Buenos Aires. In a statement, Payne's family said they were 'heartbroken'.
It read: "Liam will forever live in our hearts and we'll remember him for his kind, funny and brave soul." Payne shared seven-year-old son Bear with ex-partner Cheryl Cole, from Girls Aloud.
