A car aficionado has shared some stylish-looking motors that won't break the bank. One, available for £5,000 or less, is loved by Richard Hammond.

The little known Peugeot RCZ won over the Top Gear icon despite it's price. Jonny Brighton, the motoring expert from YouTube's Cars With JB, has shared his top picks for "that look insanely good" and named it among them.

Among his recommendations is the eye-catching Alfa Romeo Brera, a hatchback coupe with design credits by Giorgetto Giugiaro, who's also behind the VW Golf, BMW M1, and the DMC DeLorean.

Jonny remarked: "Even the name 'Brera' is synonymous with beauty as it's named after an area in Milan known for its art."

Commenting on the vehicle's aesthetics, he said: "These are beautiful looking cars that really stand out on the roads - even more so in 'Alfa red'."

He suggests that these beauties can be snapped up for as little as £2,000, with £5,000 securing a 2006 model boasting 80,000 miles.

For those captivated by the allure of a car that rivals the Audi TT, Jonny points to the Peugeot RCZ, a lesser-spotted gem and a firm favourite of celebrity car enthusiast Richard Hammond, who once praised the 133 mph speedster as "actually as fast as it looks."

Reflecting on the car back in 2010, Hammond penned: "This more powerful version is as different from the standard car as would be an RCZ fitted with a one-cylinder diesel engine from a dumper truck that you started with a handle."

"This car looks just as sexy as the less powerful RCZ and is indeed considerably faster."

Speaking about the RCZ, Jonny commented: "They're kind of like a cheap fast hot hatchback that looks like a sports car. I wouldn't say the interiors are particularly pretty but outside they are quite striking, with that double-bubble roof being reminiscent of race cars."

Another motor singled out by Jonny is the Renault Megane RS - specifically the second-gen model. He described it as "a lovely aggressive coupe-style hot hatch", highlighting that the Megane RS can hit 0-60 mph in just 5.8 seconds due to its 2.0-litre turbocharged engine.

Jonny further added: "It's not just great looking, it's absolutely focused on performance with serious features like the Brembo brakes, actually operable splitter and diffuser, and of course the analog rev-counter to help with shifting while out on track."

Like the other two cars mentioned, these can be bought for under £5,000 - with Jonny finding one for £4,700.

In other news, petrolheads can get their hands on a luxury sports saloon with the same speed as a BMW M3 for under £5,000.

And an electronics giant known for their television sets has unveiled a peculiar EV campervan that's akin to a luxury lounge on wheels.
