BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Chris McCausland has said he is 'falling apart' after becoming unwell. The stand-up comedian is currently partnered up with Dianne Buswell on the dancing contest.

But he has now told how he is struggling after falling ill before a training session. Chris took to social media to say he was 'falling apart' but was 'motoring on because he is a soldier'.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday (October 9), the duo released a video, playfully titled it 'CHRIS DIAnneRIES'. Dianne revealed that Chris has had 'a little sniffle'.

Chris said: "I've had a cold. I'm falling apart, but I'm motoring on because I'm a soldier. But we're getting through the dance with the song, all the way through, occasionally better than where it was yesterday."

In the clip, Dianne said Chris sent her a text message ahead of training listing his symptoms. He told her: "Oh Di, my throat, my nose, my wrist, my big toe.

"I've got a bug, my throat's a bit sore, my nose is bunged up, just letting you know in case you want to wear a helmet." It comes after Chris - who is the first-ever blind contestant on Strictly - opened up about his 'friendly battle' with judge Craig Revel Horwood, Digital Spy reports.

He said: "Do you know what, he’s a character isn’t he? I’ll poke him with a stick and see what I get out of him."
