Queen Camilla health update as misses Remembrance events
by Richard Guttridge, https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/authors/richard-guttridge/ · Birmingham LiveQueen Camilla will not be attending Remembrance events this weekend as Buckingham Palace announced an update on her health. The Queen would normally be expected to attend events alongside King Charles and other members of the Royal Family.
But she will not be at the Festival of Remembrance today or at the annual service at the Cenotaph in London tomorrow. Buckingham Palace said she would be staying at home to rest due to a chest infection.
They said the decision had been taken following "doctors' guidance", adding the decision was a "source of great disappointment to the Queen". The Palace said: "Following doctors’ guidance to ensure a full recovery from a seasonal chest infection, and to protect others from any potential risk, Her Majesty will not attend this weekend’s Remembrance events.

"While this is a source of great disappointment to The Queen, she will mark the occasion privately at home and hopes to return to public duties early next week." On Friday, Buckingham Palace announced that Queen Camilla's attendance at both events - among the most important on the calendar for the Royals - would be subject "to medical advice nearer the time", the Express reports.
It follows Tuesday's announcement about Camilla having to pull out from two major royal events earlier in the week as she was unwell. It was confirmed she would rest at her Wiltshire home Raymill on doctor’s advice.
The Palace said in a statement on Tuesday: "Her Majesty The Queen is currently unwell with a chest infection, for which her doctors have advised a short period of rest. "With great regret, Her Majesty has therefore had to withdraw from her engagements for this week. She apologises to all those who may be inconvenienced or disappointed as a result."
