Shoppers declare Marks & Spencer £79 trench coat their 'new favourite' saying it is 'just what I wanted'

Shoppers are declaring a Marks & Spencer trench coat their 'favourite' saying it is 'just what I wanted'. The Belted Longline Trench Coat gets a whopping 4.9 star rating from more than 140 reviews.

Available in sizes six to 24, you can choose between black and buff - and some people love it so much they are buying both colours. The cotton rich jacket costs £79 and has a neck to hem length of 114cm for a size 12.

The button fastened coat is lined and has an innovative Stormwear™ finish to help make it water repellent in light rain showers. You can even machine wash it at 40°C delicate. Some 38 people have snapped it up in the last two days alone.

One happy shopper said: "Just what I wanted. Love it. Good quality coat, as always." Another added: "New favourite coat. Perfect stylish trench coat. I bought it in black. It looks more expensive than it cost."

A third agreed: "Fabulous, stylish and looks expensive. Excellent value for money. A must have for your wardrobe." And a fourth posted: "Really pleased with this really smart coat - excellent fit and length for my height of 5ft 5in is perfect. So pleased I also purchased the same in the beige colour."

However, one was disappointed with the fit and the packaging: "Poor fit for me. Hope others have more success. Arrived with two other coats absolutely stuffed into a bag that was too small. Would have needed a steamer to get creases out."
